You know when you are watching poker on TV and some idiot stays in a pot he should really get out of because he really has nothing and is just playing to a draw, and then he pretty much goes all-in with said nothing, and you are yelling at the TV that he’s an idiot and is going to lose all his money, and then on the river card he gets the card he needs and wins the whole pot?

I am that idiot!

As is usual this time of year, I’ve registered for the WRGPT Email Poker Tournament. I was entrant number 21 this year! Last year I didn’t do so well. I finished 1133 out of 1314. Hopefully this year I’ll make a better showing!

Once again, I’m registered for the WRGPT Email Poker Tournament. No real money, just a lot of fun. I’ve played it for quite a few years now and I always look forward to it starting up. Last year I finished 450th out of 1286. Maybe I can improve on that this year.

I’m registered as player 142 in this year’s World rec.gambling.poker Tournament.

It’s an online, play by email, not real money Texas Hold’em tournament that is held every year. I’ve played the last three years and I’ve really enjoyed it.

Last year I finished 819 out of 1159 players (went out on a pair of Jacks, no less).

I was 462 out of 1094 the year before that (with an unsuited K and Q)

And the year before that I was 307 out of 1086 (with a pair of 3s).

So I looks like I get worse every year.

We’ll see how things go this year.
