Jedi Academy Demo

by @ Sunday, September 7th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC, Sci-Fi/Fantasy

The Jedi Academy demo is out. I’ve downloaded it and played it. It’s quite spiffy. They’ve really expanded on the neat things that you can do in combat. For example. I chose to use the dual lightsaber style. I was fighting a dark jedi and we got into the swordfighting equivalent of a clinch. While [...]

Pirates!

by @ Tuesday, September 2nd, 2003. Filed under Games, PC

Firaxis has announced that it is going to release an updated version of Pirates! I spent much of my youth playing this game and have many fond memories of it. What a great way to suck $50 out of me.

by @ Thursday, August 28th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC

Tycho seems to think highly of Tron 2.0 as well. I really need to get this game.

Tron 2.0 Review

by @ Wednesday, August 27th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC, Sci-Fi/Fantasy

GameSpy has a review up for Tron 2.0. I was very worried about this game when the first demo game out. It, in a word, sucked. The second demo (the single player one), made me feel much better though. The review has mostly good things to say about it. I’ll be picking this one up.

The Republic

by @ Friday, August 15th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC

GameSpot is reporting that The Republic will be released on August 29th. I’ve heard some good things about this game, and it certainly looks like it’ll be something different to play.

Greyhawk: The Temple of Elemental Evil Preview

by @ Thursday, August 14th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC, RPG

GameSpy has a preview of The Temple of Elemental Evil up today. For those who don’t know, TToEE is a classic Gary Gygax D&D module. Troika is updating it for the 3.5 ruleset. I can hardly wait to play it.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines Preview

by @ Wednesday, August 13th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC, RPG

Eurogamer has a preview of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines up. I’m pretty excited about this game. Of course, I was excited about Redemption as well, and I never even finished the first setting for it. That game was developed by Nihilistic, this new game is being developed by Troika, they who made Fallout and [...]

The Fall of Max Payne

by @ Wednesday, August 13th, 2003. Filed under Games, PC

GameSpy has a preview up for Max Payne 2. According to them, the sequel will be just as good as the first, most likely better. It’s going to have a much deeper story, and we all know I’m a big fan of good game story..

New Laptop

by @ Thursday, March 27th, 2003. Filed under Internet/Tech, PC

So I’m writing this sitting on the couch in the living room. I got a new computer at work, a new laptop, pretty nice. In any case I can take it home with me, so I don’t have the problem of having stuff I need being at work and me being here. The neatest part [...]

PC Problems

by @ Saturday, December 21st, 2002. Filed under PC

So on a whim I dropped my CPU from 1400 MHZ to 1050 MHZ from my BIOS. Haven’t had a crash since. So, either I have a bad CPU which can’t handle running full speed for some reason, or I’ve got a heat problem. So now I have to try and decide what to do [...]

PC Problems

by @ Sunday, December 15th, 2002. Filed under PC

It’s not the memory and it’s not the modem. It’s not the slot the ethernet card is in. So next up is the ethernet card itself and the sound card.

More PC problems

by @ Friday, December 13th, 2002. Filed under PC

Well, something is wrong with my PC. Even with WinXP running on it now, it’s still rebooting on me with no warning. XP says it’s a driver issue, but can’t tell me which driver it is. So it looks like when I can find the time I’m gonna have to start taking hardware out and [...]

Upgrading to XP

by @ Saturday, December 7th, 2002. Filed under PC, Personal

Well, I finally installed WinXP on my PC at home. WinME was giving me enough crashes that I figured I didn’t have much to lose. It was a pain though. This computer has never really been 100% right and I had to fight through that to get XP installed. Everything appears happy for now though. [...]
