My ISP had some issues over the weekend, which I’m not too happy about, but that’s another issue. Things seem to be working fine again as of this morning.
Things about my life.
My ISP had some issues over the weekend, which I’m not too happy about, but that’s another issue. Things seem to be working fine again as of this morning.
New iPod software is out. It updates the iPod I have to v2.3 and adds the Shuffle Songs into the Main Menu, a change I’d been hoping for. It also adds support for iTunes 4.7. Update: Not so useful after all, turns out it means shuffle all the songs on the iPod, not shuffle the [...]
I want a Time Table (it’s down at the bottom). The Dali Clock is pretty neat also.
If you are into Perl, and I certainly am, you’ll enjoy the Periodic Table of the Operators
Yeti Sports now has Yeti Sports 4: Albatros Overload out. This time you throw a penguin up to an albatros, then flap the albatros’ wings to keep it above the ground. My best single attempt so far is 1377.01.
Yes, I’ve started playing EverQuest again. We’ll see how long it lasts this time.
Penny Arcade is doing a good thing. They’ve already rasied over $64,000 in toys, games, books and whatnots for the Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Slashdot has a link to a story on Wired about people briefly sharing iPods as they encounter each other out in the world. This is one of the neatest things I’ve heard of in quite a while. It makes me want an iPod even more. Not that you actually have to have an iPod to [...]
Square Enix and AOL announced today that music from Final Fantasy VII – XI are avaliable on Radio@AOL and Radio@Netscape from now until April 2004. So now we know what I’ll be listening to for the next few months. Sorry iTunes. I’ll be back to you later.
I love iTunes. I really didn’t think I would. It’s easy to use. The cost is reasonable. Even the DRM isn’t too bad. I’ve very happy with it so far. I’ve only bought 3 songs so far, but I expect that number to climb fairly rapidly. I gave Kate a demo of it, and she [...]
A new version of the official BitTorrent client is out. I’m still using an experimental client that has a lot more info about what is going on during the session, so I’m not gonna upgrade quite yet.
So I’m writing this sitting on the couch in the living room. I got a new computer at work, a new laptop, pretty nice. In any case I can take it home with me, so I don’t have the problem of having stuff I need being at work and me being here. The neatest part [...]
So I got e-mail from my mom today. I’m so proud of her. Next thing you know she’ll have her own blog up. Speaking of Mom, the Christmas presents that they sent arrived today. The biggest hit by far was Xander’s present from JCBB&T. (No, that’s not a bank.) They sent him a 1/24 scale [...]
Woo hoo! I’ve got the new site up and running. I sold www.wsol.net a while back and registered www.tycage.net instead. It’s only recently that I’ve gotten somewhere to host it. That would be my basement on my new wireless broadband connection. It’s quite nice. Everything is converted over to a PostgreSQL database now since that’s [...]
Happy Birthday Perl! Larry Wall released Perl 1.000 on 12/18/1987. Lucky for me that he did, since Perl is the reason I’m where I am today! And AdCritic is gone. I enjoyed that site. Oh well.
