Kate just got home with our Harry Potter books. We’ve decided to start on them first thing in the morning when our minds are a bit fresher.
Well, I finished my reread of the first 6 Harry Potter books last night. So now I’m just waiting for Midnight Saturday morning when we’ll get our hands on book 7. In the meantime, I’m pretty much avoiding as much Internet and television as I can in an attempt to not be spoiled [...]
Just finshed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Wow.
When does book 7 come out?
Kate is finished. I’ve a little over half way through.
I hope to be finished by Wednesday night.
Kate picked us up two copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today. I finished rereading Order of the Phoenix this afternoon, and I’ve started in on the new one. Kate is well ahead of me, she finished rereading V last night.
Scholastic has released an image of the cover for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
The publication date of the 6th Harry Potter book has been announced.
July 16th 2005, in Britain, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
I figure Kate will be done with it by the 18th, so I’ll get a hold of it then.
Today is Dr. Seuss‘ 100th birthday.
Xander has fallen in love with Dr. Seuss books as of late. It started soon after we started playing The Cat in the Hat Game after Xander got it for Christmas. He loves that game.

I just finished reading The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
This is easily one of the best books I’ve ever read. I can’t even imagine the amount of work that goes into writing a book like this.

As suspected, I’m now working on Harry Potter: Year 5. Took Kate just over 24 hours to read it. It’ll take me longer. It was good timing for her to be in required sitting/resting mode. She could devote quite a bit of energy to it.

The new Harry Potter book is out. I went and picked up a copy today. I didn’t stand in line at midnight. I just walked into the store around 9:45am, picked one up off the stack and paid for it. Now, was that so hard?

Douglas Adams is dead.
I know, Kate and I are in shock too. We’re both sad about this, as he was a great writer who gave us both lots of joy. I suspect it’ll be a while before we can listen to him read Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy on a car trip again.
