I picked Xander up from school today, and when we got home all four of us had a great time having a snowball fight while there was still snow on the ground. It was one of those moments with your kids that you know you’ll never forget.

It started snowing around 9:30am and hasn’t let up much. It’s coming down pretty hard at the moment. I’m just back inside from shoveling and watching the kids play in the snow. I found out today that I’ve been promoted (or as I explained it to Xander, I leveled up). I’m now a Principle Software Engineer. It’s something I’ve been working for for a long time and it feels great to finally have all the hard work validated.
