I’ve linked to these people before.

This time, they get a crowd of people together to shop at Home Depot in slow motion. The thing that I found the interesting is the difference between what actually happened and the perception of the employees.

Looks like it’s official. Pluto isn’t a planet anymore.

The kids start school in two weeks.  Today was our big shopping trip for that.  We got pretty much everything thing bought that they’ll need to start school.  There might be one or two more things left, but nothing big.

Xander is very excited about being a 1st grader, and Mira is very excited about starting school.  She’s going to be in the class that Xander was in last year, and she thinks that’s just the coolest thing.  I expect the first few days will be a little rough, but I know she’ll love it once she gets used to it.  She’s clearly ready for school.

We’re back home again now. Long ride home, but we made it safe and sound. We had a great time at all our stops on this extended vacation, but it’s still nice to be back in our own house. It’s even a fairly cool day, so the house isn’t uncomfortable, even though we’d uped the thermostat to 80 degrees while we were gone. It’s good to be home again.

We are back in Clinton after a trip to the beach. We left Monday just before noon and headed down to Topsail. We had a great time there playing in the water. Cheryl, Brey, and Trin came over as well and we got to play with them. Mom and Dad worked things out so they were able to come later in the afternoon as well. We had the place to ourselves Tuesday morning, and we did more playing in the sound then, and then when out to eat seafood before heading back here to Clinton. We had a wondeful time.

We made it to Clinton this afternoon. We left Sylva on Wednesday morning and drove to Charlotte where one of my sisters live. We stayed there that night. Thursday, my other sister and her kids came up also. That morning though, before they got there, we we able to have brunch with Tracy, who we’d not seen if forever.

We had a great time with all the kids. We took them to Discover Place in Charlotte, which was a lot of fun for all of them. Then we went back to Neya’s house and they played for a while more before Dene and her kids had to leave. Then Neya took us out for Sushi, which we all enjoyed.

This morning we packed up and headed here.

We had a great time while we were in Sylva. The kids loved getting to see Grandma and Grandpa and we had a wondeful time.

We’ll be here in Clinton till at least Monday morning. My parents have a TiVo now, so we’ll stay here to watch the race on Sunday. Then we are hoping to head to the beach Monday morning.
