Heat Wave
by @ 5:32 pm.

So we’ve had a hot streak the last week and a half or so.

We’ve been over 90° every day since June 16th.

The last two days we’ve hit 102°

It’s predicted to get better once this front goes through.

AIM Fight
by @ 10:02 am.

I’m far from the first person on the net to link to AIM Fight. It gives you a score based on how many people are online that have you in their buddy list, and how many online people have them in their buddy lists, out to three levels.

If you are in the top 5%, you get a ranking as well as a score.

It’s a fun little diversion (and yes, my primary screenname is in the top 5%, ranked 39306, at the moment).

Harry Potter
by @ 9:34 pm.

Kate picked us up two copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince today. I finished rereading Order of the Phoenix this afternoon, and I’ve started in on the new one. Kate is well ahead of me, she finished rereading V last night.

by @ 10:29 pm.

I shaved today. I mean for real. Pics were taken and I’ll try to get them up before too long.

Fireworks
by @ 10:12 pm.

We watched the Leesburg fireworks with Xander and Mira from Xander’s room tonight. They both enjoyed them. Mira got bored before they were over, but fireworks are one of Xander’s favorite things, so he was entranced for the entire 20 minutes.

We’re thinking about heading out to the park next year to watch them. We’ll put that off till then of course.

It was good to be home to watch them in any case.

The Weekend
by @ 7:06 pm.

We headed down to Clinton on Friday. The funeral was Saturday morning. It was a nice quick grave side service. We had a reception after the service at the church. It was good to see the family. Every one was there except Britt, Kori, and Coleman. We had a good time watching all the kids play, and catching up with each other. It may not have been for the happiest of reasons, but it was still a good thing.

We got home this afternoon, and now I’ll try to get some rest in (didn’t get a lot of that with two babies in the house taking turns waking each other up).
