Best Thanksgiving ever.
We headed out on Tuesday and had a nice enough drive down to Clinton. We had a nice evening with Mom, Kate, the kids and myself.
Dene, Dan, Kori, Coleman, and McKena got in that night after we went to bed.
Xander had a great time playing with Kori and Coleman the whole time were were there. One of the Xander’s favorite things that day was raking leaves in the yard with Kori. It’s something he’d been wanting to do for a while now because of some of the books we’ve been reading. He and Kori had a great time making piles of leaves and the redistributing them for more raking.
Dad got home that night, and Xander was, of course, very happy to see him as well.
Neya got in Thanksgiving morning, as did Joey, Cheryl, Britt, Brey and Trin. We all had a wondeful Thanksgiving dinner together.
That night, Kate, our kids, and I went out to see the Meadow Lights. Xander and Mira both loved it.
During lunch Friday, my family suprized Kate with a small birthday party. Mom wanted to do it since they are never arouind for Kate’s birthday. They came in as started singing and Kate assumed it was for Dad. She was quite suprized when we all said her name instead of his.
Friday afternoon Dad rented an airplane and took all the kids up for a ride (along with the parents). Xander and Mira loved it. Xander got to fly the plane a bit and took right to it, turning the plane left and right. He thought seeing the world from up in the sky was a lot of fun. He says that was his favorite thing he did on the whole trip.
Saturday morning and early afternoon were spent just having more family time together. Our kids, Dene and her’s, and Cherly, Brey and Trin, had lunch at Sonic and played on the playground for a few hours and everyone had a great time. We got out of town around 3pm and made it home after a not too bad drive around 9:30pm.
It was a wonderful Thanksgiving.
