Just wanted to let everyone know that I went 13th in the first round of the NFL draft.

I’m also apparently a 6′5″ 307lbs black man.

Xander pooped in the potty for the first time today!

Xander did a great job on the potty today. Twice (once with Kate and once with me) he jumped up and said, “I need to go potty!” and started running for the bathroom. He’d only peed a little bit in his pullups each time, and he had quite a bit left to go each time. He’s starting to get the hand of the pee side of things. Now if we can just get him to poop in the potty we’ll be set. Might have to skip some nap times this weekend to work on that.

We went to Ida Lee today for the Easter egg hunt. It was not very well organized, it ended up being inside because of the weather, which I think was a lot of the problem. Xander did end up havng a lot of fun in the end. It was pretty pretty rough at times though. A 7 year old slid into him on the air slide thing they had which upset him greatly. Wouldn’t you think a 7 year old should have enough sense to look down and make sure the way was clear before sliding down. Then there was a huge line to get down to the egg hunt, and Xander wasn’t feeling well because of the earlier trauma.

When we finally did get downstairs, it was way too crowded. He got very upset again. But he saw the bear mascot and that cheered him up a little. He did a good job picking up eggs and had fun doing that. Then the highlight of his day was when he got to hug the bear.

We topped it off with a trip to Red Robin, which he loves. Then we went to Target and got him a new race car for doing such a good job with the potty training this past week. Then we went by Toys R Us and Borders for a little more shopping.

Overall he seems to have had a good day. Kate and I are tired, but it was worth it to have him be so happy.

Xander did a great job today! Only one accident all day! And even then, he quickly realized he was peeing, stopped himself and ran for the potty! I’m very proud of my little boy.

It’s potty training day!

Xander is doing a pretty good job so far. He’s had a few accidents, but that certainly to be expected the first day. He’s doing his best and has managed to pee in the potty a few times already.

Today is Kate and my 8th Anniversary. I can hardly belive we’ve been married that long. At the same time it seems like we’ve been together forever. I’m very lucky to have such a wonderful woman to spend my life with.
