So I bring Xander my little 1:64 scale Jeff Green car home from work today. He completely loved it. He kept telling me it was a “blue car with lots of yellow on the blue car.” Then he noticed, “It’s got a 30 on it Daddy! That means it’s Jeff Green! That’s our boy!” He then informs me, “This is a beautiful car, Daddy.” So needless to say I’m not going to miss it very much at work.
A wonderful Christmas was had by all. Mom and Dad still haven’t made it up yet for one reason or another, but we are hoping they’ll be able to manage to get up some time in the next few weeks.
If you are curious about what games I got for Christmas:
That pretty much sums up the game list.
Merry Christmas!
It’s turned out to be quite a white Christmas after all! It snowed almost all morning, from around 7:30am to around noon. Looks like we got about an inch of snow on the ground. It’s covered everything quite nicely. It was good snow for making snowballs and snowmen. They will be pictures up soon!
As of 3:51pm EST, the snow is coming down hard. It’s sticking on the grass and trees already. No sticking to pavement yet, but we’ll see. Looks like we stand a good chance of a white Christmas this year!
So on a whim I dropped my CPU from 1400 MHZ to 1050 MHZ from my BIOS. Haven’t had a crash since. So, either I have a bad CPU which can’t handle running full speed for some reason, or I’ve got a heat problem. So now I have to try and decide what to do next.
Just got back from seeing The Two Towers. Wow! Another great movie. I was worried that the middle movie of the three would be kinda slow and have trouble keeping things moving. Not so! Lots of action and good story. Mostly faithful to the book, a few things here and there are changed, but I can understand most of the changes for the sake of making it a good movie. If you are able, go see it!
It’s not the memory and it’s not the modem. It’s not the slot the ethernet card is in. So next up is the ethernet card itself and the sound card.
Well, something is wrong with my PC. Even with WinXP running on it now, it’s still rebooting on me with no warning. XP says it’s a driver issue, but can’t tell me which driver it is. So it looks like when I can find the time I’m gonna have to start taking hardware out and try to figure out what’s causing it. I’m hoping it’s something cheap, like the network card that’s causing the problem. It seems like I’m always doing something “networky” when it crashes, so I’m hoping that’s it. We’ll see.
For those of you that have asked what to get me for Christmas, here’s an easy link for my wishlist
Well, I finally installed WinXP on my PC at home. WinME was giving me enough crashes that I figured I didn’t have much to lose. It was a pain though. This computer has never really been 100% right and I had to fight through that to get XP installed. Everything appears happy for now though. We’ll see how things go.
Woo hoo!
I’ve got the new site up and running.
I sold www.wsol.net a while back and registered www.tycage.net instead. It’s only recently that I’ve gotten somewhere to host it. That would be my basement on my new wireless broadband connection. It’s quite nice.
Everything is converted over to a PostgreSQL database now since that’s what I’m using at work these days.
Today was a snow day! Xander loved it.
Kate and I are having another baby. Due date is July 4th. Hopefully I’ll get a page up dedicated to that in the near future.
