Playing Kingdom Hearts II

Xander and I got in about 2 hours of Kingdom Hearts II tonight. It was a lot of fun. The start of the story isn't anything like I expected. We've not played as Sora at all yet. It's still been fun though, and the story is coming along. I'd hate to be playing it without having playing through Chain of Memories, though.

Kingdom Hearts II

Ctr+Alt+Del pretty much sums it up. I should be picked up a copy today. I'll start playing it tomorrow afternoon, since this will be a with Xander game and he's only allowed to play on weekends.

We've been looking forward to it for quite a while now.

Racing Snow

That's the first time I've even seen a NASCAR race red flagged because of snow!

New Gateway

I've finally got a new gateway machine up, so things should get a bit snappier now. This is a 1Ghz AMD machine with 512GB of memory. It replaces the old 233 Mhz P2 with 92MB of memory.

Things should run a bit faster now.

Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire!

We had a little adventure here today. I was in the front of the house doing something or other which I don't remember and happened to look out the window and notice a lot of smoke. I walked out and found that the grassy area over near the park was on fire. Our neighbor from across the street was alread out and calling 911 on his cell phone.

I went back in the house and gathered up Kate and the kids and we all went back outside to watch. It was a lot of smoke and the wind was blowing right toward us. The fire department was there within a few minutes and got things put out quickly. There wasn't any property damage, only the damage to the grass and reeds and such. Xander and Mira enjoyed watching the firefighters work, which was why we took them out there.

Our best guess is that a kid threw a cigarette that direction and that started the fire. It was exciting, but no real harm done. It did serve as a good lesson for the kids about why you have to be careful with fire.
